Follow-up Opportunities

The District 6 & 8 Non-Traditional Career Fair provided students with an unique opportunity to talk with employers and educators from post secondary institutions to obtain helpful tips on how people can prepare themselves for a successful transition from school to a career of their choice.  To make the most of this opportunity, students are encouraged to follow-up with some of the contacts they made during the career fair.  It could result in a summer job offer or provide them with an extra advantage when trying to get into a competitive post secondary program. If students didn't take advantage of asking questions to the presenters, they can download a list of questions they can use in their own career networking.

As a reminder of the presenters who attended the event, you can visit the list (here).  For your convenience, we have linked the presenters websites.

At the end of the Career Fair, students were asked to provide feedback.  Guidance counsellors and/or teachers who attended the event with the students provided feedback forms for students to fill out.  The guidance counsellors and/or teachers are asked to return the forms to their respective District Offices. Student feedback (minus any names or identifying information) may be posted on this webpage once it has been collected.  If you didn't have the opportunity to provide feedback, you can fill out the form below and submit it to your high school guidance counsellor.
